Pokemon Black Version 2

Which got me thinking... what was your team in RBY/FRLG?

My very first pokemon game was Blue and I think the first team I beat the Elite 4 with was something like:

Blastoise
Alakazam
Pidgeot
Victreebel
Machamp
Raichu

The last time I played Red I had a team of (at the time) non-evolving Pokémon named after various Nintendo characters (with my trainer name being "Mario"). There was a Scyther, Snorlax, Chansey, Tauros.. maybe a Lapras? ..something else I can't remember…

Very first team?

Charizard

Anything else, I didn't care about. Probably had a moveset of something like Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Ember, Fire Spin. I remember specifically having a Level 2 Rattata with me when I beat the Elite Four.

Last time I played a first gen game? Nidoking and some HM slaves.

Yeah, I don't think I ever bothered with having a balanced team back in those days. Not much reason to, I guess.

Red team:

Blastoise (trading shenanigans)
Venusaur (trading shenanigans)
Zapdos
Mewtwo
Sandslash (traded from my brother's Blue version)

Yellow team:

Pikachu
Charizard
Blastoise
Venusaur
Mewtwo
Sandslash

I remember that my Red version Mewtwo's moveset consisted of Blizzard, Psychic, Recover, and Amnesia. Both Charizard had a moveset consisting of Fire Blast, Earthquake, Flamethrower, and Fly (I traded my Red version Charizard over to Yellow so it could learn the move).

I have an affinity to Turtles so I chose Squrtle.

The tournaments held at the Comic shop I went to was the few competitive competitions I've been too. I won most of them.

Same goes with the TCG game and my Zapageddon Deck.

My first game was Blue, and all I remember using was a Snorlax I used a master ball on..killed Articuno cause I didn't know anything about the Legendaries.

Think I caught Moltres, and my starter was maybe Squirtle.
