Switching is the most important thing.Also make sure you have moves that cover all types.

He's asking for competitive tips. This is false. Some Pokemon just don't cut it and are strictly worse than other choices. But, if you're building an OU team, don't dismiss all UU and other tier Pokes. SOME of the "worse" Pokemon can have potential when used correctly.
