Should I buy a semi-broken, cheap DS?

I have a 3DS, fourth + fifth generation games, the desire to transfer from fourth to fifth, and no friends. :' (

if its quite cheap and at least workable with its broken parts then yes

but we could better decide if you gave us the condition of the ds, and the price

I didn't have one in mind, was just going to search ebay..

*searches ebay for a moment*

That is actually better than I expected to find.

I just need to buy a charger for it, and I've seen usb chargers for a dollar.

*edit* Looking at that listing again, it says "for parts or not working" at the top, despite it mentioning in the description that it seems to work, including pictures of it working... might look elsewhere

maybe this.

this looks good

The description for the last one at least specifically states that it DOES work, but that the touch screen is desensitized to the point of impracticality.

Another says

Does not include battery. DS system works normally but has a broken hinge & the corner has a chip out broken off it. Screens & outer body are in very good condition. Does not include stylus or charger.
