Jumpluff ,Tangrowth, and Ferrothorn come to mind. Venosaur, Exeggutor, and Shiftry can also work if you want to run a sun team.

Ok, so obviously millions of people on this board are gonna suggest Ferrothorn. Venusaur is only great in the sun, so that's why I can't easily recommend him. Whimsicott and Sceptile make great SubSeeders. Roserade is great at either offense or laying down entry hazards.

There are very few "great competitive grass types", with most operating in some niche. Currently in smogon's OU list are the following:

Ferrothorn
Celebi
Breloom
Venusaur

And UU which are still mostly good pokes:

Virizion
Shaymen
Roserade
Abomasnow.

Venusaur is OU under the condition that you're running a Sun team though. If not for Drought/Chlorophyll he'd drop a fair bit.

Breloom is the best offensively, and Ferrothorn is the best defensively.

Lilligant

Ludicolo

Breloom

Roserade

Cradily (Yeah.)

Leafeon (In the sun, I guess, but it's still pretty mediocre..)

Serperior (With Contrary XD)

Sawsbuck (Like a slightly better version of Leafeon in the sun; and who doesn't love the idea of something stabbing stuff with horns and absorbing its life force)

Ferrothorn

Most of those should have no problem holding their own in competitive if used effectively
Why don't we show them the entire process including our breakdown.
