Pokegen Help

I'm trying to create a Natural Cure Staryu on Pokegen with 31 IVs in SpA and Spe, and 20s in everything else but Att. Whenever I try to generate a PID for it, however, and I lock the SpA and SPe, it stops after finding one PID, and it has Ability 2 (Illuminate). Is there something I'm doing wrong?

OK, I've been able to generate a PID targetting the right Ability (it IS supposed to be 2, for Natural Cure). However, I'm getting an Invalid PID argument and a Hacked Ability argument on Pokecheck. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

What gen are you trying to do for Staryu? If in gen 5, I can help :)

Yeah, it's Gen V.

I started using a DW Poliwag as a base, then edited everything else and tried to generate a PID from it.

EDIT: Found out the problem (2-fold):

1. I had the DW flag on. Whoops.
2. Generating a PID using the wizard is no good. When I set everything I wanted and left the PID field blank, it generated one on its own that showed up valid on Pokecheck

Shame now that PokeGTS isn't working.

Yeah, in gen 5 Pokemon, PID finder is just an annnoyance, just delete your PID and you're be fine. Btw, if we pass the legality on Pokecheck, do we pass the VGC hack check in the live events. I'm curious about that

bumping with another problem:

Trying to edit the Shiny Garchomp that Benga gives you (as a Gible, obvs). Right now, all I want to do is edit its speed, so I receive its pkm file, go to the IVs, change the Speed to 31, clear the PID, and save it. However, when I upload this new pkm file to Pokecheck, the PID is invalid. Even if I go back to the file and try to force a PID with the stats I want, I keep getting the same error. I don't know if there's a flag I'm supposed to tick or what, but as I said, I'm not changing anything else from the pkm file aside from the Speed IVs and clearing the PID (which, in the past, has worked with non-Shiny Pokemon). I get the sense that the shininess is causing an issue, but I have no idea how to get around it.
