Would you be so kind as to suggest some Pokemon to fill out my team?

I posted this on the White 2 board, but it seems like that board isn't very active. It appears that this one is, so I figured that I'd post it here.

So, I'm in the midst of playing through this game again and I'm having some trouble deciding what my last two Pokemon should be. Obviously, one of them has to be a flying type and Braviary is off of the table because I used him on my last playthrough. Deino occurred to me, but I found out the hard way that he takes way too long to raise before the elite four. With that said, it would be prudent to list my current Pokemon.

Lucario
Elekid (Gonna evolve him into Electivire at some point)
Growlithe (Gonna evolve him into Arcanine at some point)
Dewott.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Still amazed at how people consider picking 6 pokemon so much harder than picking 5 or 4.

I would use Unfezant, Swoobat, or Crobat for the flying type. For number 6, Leavanny would be a good grass type, or Zoroark, which you are given in Driftveil city.

If you ever used others, you'd recommend them too.

What does that mean?

I'm playing with Pokemon that I've never used before. Your assumption is incorrect.

I think you should go back and realize that my last post wasn't directed at you. The word "recommend" should make that obvious, no?

What does that mean?

It means that any specific recommended pokemon you're getting from people are just the pokemon people have used; they don't recommend anything else because they haven't used anything else, or are biased towards them because their experiences with other pokemon were either unlucky or they got accidentally underleveled - not that they are bad.

In other words, means pokemon selection is the least important factor in a team, as it should be since this game is marketed towards pre-teens. Worry about levels instead.

Just ignore him.

Don't worry, you're still the bestest topic contributor evar with your usual asinine 3-word posts.

I'd suggest either Sigilyph (psychic/flying) which you can find in the Desert Resort (N's Sigilyph is there too) or, if you didn't have Dewott as your water type, Swanna which can be evolved from Ducklett that you can catch on the Driftveil Bridge. A flying/dragon is Flygon; you'd have to catch a Trapinch in Desert Resort and evolve him up however which is going to, again, take some time. Trapinch however would give you an advantage against Elesa's gym since it learns Rock Slide which is really effective against her Emolga and can learn Dig to take out her Zebstrikas.

My suggestion for your sixth slot would be to alternate between a grass type and a ground type. For a grass type I'd suggest Whimsicott, Roselia/Roserade (Lostlorn Forest on Route 16), or Lilligant. For a ground type that can learn rock moves, Trapinch would work as I mentioned earlier or Sandshrew or Drilbur. Since Lucario can learn Dragon moves along with fighting, dark and ghost moves, you should have that area covered.

Whatever 6 you pick, stick to them. Don't get an "alternate". You'll just hassle yourself with all the switching while wasting precious experience.
