http://www.siliconera.com/2012/04/03/a-peek-at-persona-2-eternal-punishments-new-story-content/ The more we see of this new scenario, the more I'm losing hope that Tatsuya is gonna have new party members lol --- Don't forget to check out my MegaTen themed webcomics at http://www.drunkduck.com/user/Strain42/
I believe we mostly seen those pictures before. --- "Know thy self, know thy enemy. A thousand battles, a thousand victories."
It's everything P4:G isn't. --- Soji Seta forever. Also Minako.
Sooo...it's not GOOD? :P (sorry, couldn't resist) Really, it kinda seems like they're pretty on par right now. Both are adding some new scenarios to fill in some blanks (EP has this, P4G has the ski stuff which seems to last for a while) To me it just seems like both are trying to improve on what was there and be the best version of itself it can be. --- Don't forget to check out my MegaTen themed webcomics at http://www.drunkduck.com/user/Strain42/
I feel like EP has more new content. Obviously, we don't know how long Tatsuya's new scenario is, but I'd hope that it's a couple of hours? Then obviously they've tweaked everything to make it better, like that glorious HUD, the new cut-in graphics etc. etc. And then they've also done the new soundtrack, which, assuming it's the same size as Innocent Sin's, is enormous. --- Yes, I am that good.

I'm gonna try and ask this without sounding sarcastic or snarky but...how so? How is the stuff P4:G is adding not at least on par with this game? The Innocent Sin port was heavily criticized (by fans and critics alike) for feeling dated. That was on top of the stuff it had added like the updated soundtrack and upgraded visuals. Aside from this new scenario story, Eternal Punishment just seems like it's following in the Innocent Sin port's footsteps (which are not bad footsteps at all, mind you. I'm not trying to bash either game here) I'm just saying that I think P4:G is adding just as much to its existing game, if not more, than what Eternal Punishment is doing right now. --- Don't forget to check out my MegaTen themed webcomics at http://www.drunkduck.com/user/Strain42/
I'm not any insider, but the whole port/remake (however you prefer to call it) is more like a training ground for the fresh developers to gain field experience. It's safer than letting the fresh staff start a completely new game that will consume much more time (means more money spent on wages). So Atlus/Index does not really care if the game sells well which the income of the remake is merely to compensate the salary expense. On the brighter side, this implies Atlus needs more staff to get trained from these recent ports (Eternal Punishment and Soul Hackers) for the grander project, I assume this would be Persona 5. --- System refuses to display the signature because of SOPA.
From: Strain42 | #007 Because the new scenario alongside all the updated stuff equals more signficant updates, in my opinion. The soundtrack on Innocent Sin is four discs long, so assuming Eternal Punishment is the same, that alone means an absolute ton of new music (Compared to the two new tracks in The Golden), which I would consider a large amount of new content by itself. --- Yes, I am that good.

P4:G is pretty much the exact same game released four years ago. While that can be said of P2P:EP, this is an updated rerelease of the most popular SMT game with mostly cosmetic changes and some minor gameplay additions and from what I've seen very little story content. A new town and a ski resort aren't worth shelling out $50-60 more dollars. P2P:EP is an updated rerelease of a game very few current fans played and even fewer still own, complete with a significantly better user interface and a new sidestory for Tatsuya. My whole thing is, if you've already played P4 there's no reason to get P4:G. --- Soji Seta forever. Also Minako. |
