How great would it be if all these server troubles were caused BY the DRM

Like, there's some kind of doohickey that gives errors out to players whose game doesn't pass a certain criteria. Sort of like Office Space:

"Oh **** I must have misplaced a decimal...I always screw up mundane details like that..."
"This is NOT a mundane detail Michael!"

And all these server woes would be solved by simply turning off the DRM measures. A girl can dream. A girl also wants the problem to be so stupid all it takes a flipped switch to solve.

"Sir, the DRM is backloading the data node, what do we do?!"
"Hack the interwebs, Jenkins. Reroute the net into the encoder."

If the DRM/game didn't require online all the time I'd suspect plenty of people would be playing offline right now so you're not that far off.
