Hey all, got lucky today and got this game for $20.00. Don't like the DRM thing, but for only twenty bucks I thought it might be worth a shot.

This will be my first foray into any sims game and was hoping you all could give me some basic tips for early building. Just some simple universal things to be aware of would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Well first things first. You must understand that the beginning is the hardest. Once you start understanding the game more, the easier it will get for the most part. There are lots of details to keep track of in a big perfectly functioning city. It is something you will work on for hours upon hours, save, come back later and continue until it reaches its full potential or until you are satisfied.

On that note, here is how to begin:
With the money that you saved pick up Anno, Simcity 4, or Tropico 4.
You're welcome, city builders are great when they function well.
