I've noticed a lot of people are confused about making package files (that's combining a program and all of its resources into one PRG file). Since I've managed to figure it out, I though of making a little tutorial to help out the Petit community.
A twist however, is that I've decided to write a program/tutorial. And not only that, the program will actually perform a sample packaging on your very system!
So without further ado, here is the tutorial QR: http://gbatemp.net/uploads/gallery/album_65/gallery_262855_65_2733.png
Warning: this will change the default font during the program. Don't be alarmed, it goes away when you exit Write Program mode.
Step 3 onward seems to be hard to read, esp. on a 3DS system. Not sure how it reads on an XL system. But the text in this tutorial is kind of small on a regular system.
I was worried about that. Should've trusted my instincts. XD Ok, here's one with a more subtle font that should read fine on the small 3ds blur-vision screen: http://gbatemp.net/uploads/gallery/album_65/gallery_262855_65_28535.png
@jamie I just did it myself in the built-in CHRED app (not quitting my day job :p). Just tap the BF square and it'll show the font sheet. You save it after your done messing around and load it into a program by typing: LOAD "BGF:WHATEVER"
Thank you for such an informative tutorial on packaging and your command examples! I plan on looking into packaging once I'm ready to package all my content for my first program. Your command examples is a lifesaver as I'm learning each command one by one (this is my first time programming).
