It's a red BY THE RULE BOOK. Kompany will continue to get sent off until he understands that you CAN NOT go into challenges with TWO feet off the ground, no matter if you play the ball or not. He's not in control there, and if Wilshere was a bit quicker that could have been a potential leg-breaker. .

He may have started the tackle with two feet off the ground, but immediately, he puts his leg behind the front one, and tackles with the one foot - studs down. Wins the ball.

It was also over-turned today, as well.

That image proves nothing. It's taken just before he stretches his other leg forward which follows through. All you need to do is see the replay to know that it's a red. Kompany's tackle was two footed, both feet left the floor, and he lunged from the front. Reckless.

FA are a bloody joke. Wonder what was different to last year's Kompany red card appeal?

That gif shows exactly what I said.

He may jump with both feet off the ground, but he ends the tackle as a one-footed one. You can even see the angle of his right leg better in your gif - How it's behind his outstretched one.

Exactly, you can't leave the ground with both feet. Once you do it's not in your control.
