So Chelsea's best backline can't manage to not concede more than 1 goal.
2 problems I can point out. One is the players in the pivot. Ramires and Lampard aren't getting back enough. How many times did we see Oscar back there making a clearance. Pivot is one of the problems. It was an issue last year as well.
But still. A backline as good as Chelsea have they shouldn't be conceding like that. They shouldn't be playing like that. Today they weren't awful but there was not one thing you can blame. There wasn't really any individual mistakes. First goal was poor defending from Ivanovic. So it comes down to the manager.
Rafa needs to go. It's obvious. I'm one to back the manager. Last time I wanted a manager gone was with Scolari. Rafa is worse. At least with AVB Chelsea would concede late and draw after being up 1-0.
...it's harder to get into soccer when your NFL team's playing in the Super Bowl that same weekend, turns out (to be fair, I'd probably feel the same way about the NFL were any soccer teams I root for in a cup final that weekend).
Either the worst great player or the best horrible player you'll ever meet.
