High Credit Scouting

#1InafkingPosted 4/9/2013 9:17:29 AM
Is there any point in to dumping a whole bunch of credits in to scouts? The whole system is so useless I don't even use it outside of trying to change enemy positions. But I noticed at around lv5 or so you can dump a lot of credits in to them. Anyone ever get anything good or is it as big of a money hole as it looks?

George Lucas had some IPs he didn't feel like developing. He sold them to a company that would. There is a lesson here for Crapcom.

more credits means more items/credits/better bonus's you will get

also it may help unlock optional dungeons faster so you can power level/get OP gear faster

My experience is that it only affects the rarity of items found and credits (and there's a much better way to get credits). Nothing about finding new scouts, dungeons, bonuses, etc. seems to be affected by paying more...and if it does affect anything else it's not worth it.

Spending 10k really helps for quests that want N items from a boss that just doesn't want to drop them. After fighting a particular Dogoo 8 times and getting 0 "Amazing Jelly" I gave up and opted to use scouts. 6 scouts paid 10k got me the 5 items needed in 3 trips.

Theirs centin items you can only get form scouting plus it's for getting monster and boss drops without fighting them

Basically, do 1,000 or 10,000 if you want quality drops, 10k being the one that gives you the better and rare drops. Do 100 for everything else.

There are a couple of items that you can't get without spending 100,000 credits in specific places, specifically for ingredients for the ultimate weapons/processors. Other than that, I just stuck with 1,000 each.

Anyone have any ideas which places you need to send the scouts to get the rarer ingredients for the ultimate weapons or armor? I've been trying to find an Electric Switch for Uni's Linear Railgun for ages online and in game and so far I still have no clue.
