I would appreciate a list of all the levels with secret exits without spoiling how to reach them. I would like to search for them but I don't want to waste my time looking in levels that don't have them because the game does a horrible job letting you know which levels have secret exits.

Of course it does a horrible job telling you where the secret exits are. They wouldn't be secrets otherwise, would they?

Well it should. I spent the last hour looking through 1-4 and 1-5 thinking the secret exit leading to the cannon was in one of those two levels only to find out the exit's actually in the tower even though there's no obvious path that can appear from there. That's ridiculous!

That's why they are called secret paths they are suppose to be hard to find.

Which is fine, I still want to search for them, but I don't want to waste my time looking in levels that don't have one. Surely you can understand that.

TC's just making the (fair) criticism that the game doesn't even have the courtesy to tell you which level you should be blindly jumping around in to find a random beanstalk. The Super Mario World system was 100% better in this regard.

I understand the point TC is making. However, the other side to the argument is that secret exits are secrets for a reason. If they were obvious, they wouldn't be secrets. Hunting for them isn't a complete waste. At least you're adding to your coin total.

In SMW, all of the non-ghost houses with secret exits had red icons on the world map, instead of yellow.

On-topic, this should help you out.

World 1 Dungeon
World 2 Ghost House
Mushroom World 1
Mushroom World Ghost House
World 3 Dungeon
World 3-4
World 3 Ghost House
World 4 Ghost House
World 4 Dungeon
Fire Flower World 1
Fire Flower World Ghost House
World 5-1
World 5 Ghost House
World 5-A
World 6 Ghost House

That should be all of them. Hope it helps!

Yeah the SMW system is way better, I don't mind spending time in a level looking for something as long as I know it's there.

Thanks for the list, this will help a ton.
