dking009Posted 6/22/2012 7:29:12 AM | Ever scine super mario bros {nes} i hated any thing to do with water in games. It seems for me as least there are 2 worlds where i die every 2 sec. Water worlds and lava worlds.I suck at all mario palformer 2d and 3d but when i get to the water worlds i seem to die a lot more.Is it just me who hate water levels/worlds.Or are they fun but i suck that bad.And when i say i suck in NSMBW me and 3 freinds play thought all 9 worlds at the end i had like 78 contiunes i am not lieing at all.The funny thing is everyone else had like 3 contiunes by the end of the game.
So do you like or water worlds/levels
and dont make fun of me for sucking that bad --- games i'm playing-dragon warrior 4 nes,mario party 9 wii,star fox snes,mario kart 7 3ds,final fansty 2 snes,pokemon red gameboy |

gamestar3000Posted 6/22/2012 8:30:35 AM | In a non mario game,DTL:TNC had an interesting one as the first world. It had the beach theme, a ghost pirate ship, and water canal themed levels, plus underwater cavern like places.
In a mario game, it'd be sea slide/starshine galaxy because of the music. Heck, arguably sunshine was one huge water level --- Alright Daisy, since you wanna keep hitting me, LET'S BEYBLADE!!!! - Me playing mario and sonic london, dream discus, daisy keeps ramming me |
BlanketPIPosted 6/22/2012 3:18:26 PM | With multiple people the game actually gets harder, not easier. Maybe with people of roughly equal skill it is easier, but if you are noticeably worse then that is amplified by having others play with you. My sister did not have that much trouble, but she had quite a bit and on her own she was much better off.
Anyway, I actually like most water levels in the 2-dimensional Super Mario games. I am fine with having to spend more time getting to the end, rather than rushing to it as quickly as possible. I like the half water levels more, (those are loads of fun and are near the top of my favorite level archetypes list, along with full on platforming levels and tower levels) but the regular ones are still fun if made properly.
The problem with them is that they are difficult to handle if you are not used to them, which you are not if 80% of the game is entirely above water. I remember how I would always try to beat Super Mario Bros. without warps and if I lacked a Fire Flower in 2-2, I would almost certainly not even make it to the midpoint, despite the 7 or so lives I had stockpiled. (I was also stonewalled with 8-2 with warps and with a warp to world 3, only, 5-1, for an above water skill comparison) Despite the Bloopers, (which are still a pain to deal with) you actually have to be swimming a lot, or so I find. Then you have to deal with enemies coming from all 4 directions, rather than 3, though, which makes them even tougher if you are not used to them. --- I am socially dysfunctional; I apologize in advance, for any showing of this.
