My theory on Bowser Jr.'s mother

#1PictocheatPosted 9/21/2012 8:20:12 PM(edited)
I was thinking earlier about Miyamoto's statement that the Koopalings aren't Bowser's children; that Bowser's only child is Bowser Jr., but it's not known who the mother is. If Bowser Jr.'s mother was to appear in a future game, Nintendo would probably make her out to be even more fearsome than Bowser (it'd be stupid to suddenly bring her into the series to only have her be mid-boss material). In some species of animal in the real world, the female is actually more dominant than the male; this would probably be the case with Bowser Jr.'s mother.

This leaves the question of who gave birth to the Koopalings; if they're not related to Bowser, why do they look so similar to him and help him out all the time? Who's to say Bowser Jr.'s mother didn't also give birth to the Koopalings? The Koopas could be a species in which it's considered acceptable for a female to mate with several males. It's also probably normal for all the males that the female mates with (and their children) to treat each other like family, which would explain why the Koopalings hang around Bowser so much.

This gives me an idea for a future Mario game: Bowser could call upon the fathers of the Koopalings to help him take over the Mushroom Kingdom. The Koopalings would reside in each world's midpoint castle, while their respective fathers would guard the fortresses at the end of each world. The first seven worlds would be home to the Koopalings and their fathers, the eighth world would be where Bowser and Bowser Jr. reside. Then there would be a ninth world, where you have to fight each Koopaling and their respective father together at the end of each level. After defeating Bowser and Bowser Jr. a second time, you fight the Koopa Queen herself in one final epic battle.

Unfortunately, none of this will probably ever happen because Nintendo would never talk about mating in a Mario game.

That father idea would be so cool, and seeing a female Bowser type thing would be too... oh my God we'd see what the Koopalings would look like when they get older kind of! See, THAT'S how you use characters effectively. Now to die holding my breath because this will literally never happen.

She can be skinny without problem, with a more female face, noticeable breasts, short tail, more hair than Bowser, and things like that.

I still say Bowser has 8 kids.

Miyamoto saying the koopalings aren't related to Bowser is like George Lucas making the Star Wars Special Editions. Sure, it's his franchise. But the fans are the REAL owners and they liked them the way they were before. :) So I say 8 kids.

His mother is Wendy. He's named after his grandfather.

I say that if the Koopalings are Bowser's children, they were delivered by the stork because Bowser wished for them with the Star Rod, which is why they don't appear in that game. I don't think Bowser needs a wife.
