Was anything creative and new not in the trailers?

No, I act like there weren't many surprises not in the trailer, because there really wasn't. By all means though, next time I'll pretend there was more new content just to please you.

You really haven't played the game enough to justify that.

Based on the fact that the main game had almost nothing, (which is bad in itself because the entire main game should not be bland no matter how good the bonus levels are) and your list was terrible and short with mostly faked new content, I'm gonna go ahead and say that I've seen more then enough. Thanks though, I didn't get enough of this flawed argument the first seven times you tried to use it.

And you played it too much, making you think those surprises are actually game enhancing. A couple of coins (which whether they are a surprise or not still don't do anything other than making some counter go up) that appear because you move to a specific spot is not a game-selling awesome surprise.

And that's been happening since NSMBW in the exact same way, maybe with less of them. No, putting MOAR COINS in when that happens is not originality, it's slapping on a coin gimmick.

There's nothing "slapped on" about the coin gimmick, it's the main part of the game. You know what makes it new? It's never been done before, and that's the definition of "new".

Stuff like Gold Rings, Gold Mushrooms, Gold Flowers, Gold Blocks, Numbered Coin Blocks, and Gold Enemies are all elements never before seen in the franchise. I mean, it would suck if NSMB2 was just a straight rip-off of NSMBWii with nothing new at all.... But you gotta give 'em props for giving SOMETHING unique to NSMB2 - and that uniqueness is directly based off of the coins.

Also, there are plenty of new and/or creative level design choices in the game. To elaborate, I'll give you a few videos from levels that show that.

Except there is. Because guess what? Coin Collecting has been around since the very first SMB game -_-. It isnt new and the gimmick sucked. And all those things you listed are just pallet swaps of things that allready exist. They arent new.
