Really though, despite being a bit crap at 11, I still enjoyed it.Great presentation, good soundtrack and the gameplay itself seemed good to me. Though in My Player, it seemed sometimes that you wouldn't get a grade increase for scoring or assisting yet you could lose a lot for say, letting your man score on you.
I don't know a lot. Don't kill me. -_-

magemaximusPosted 1/8/2013 1:51:37 AM | 13 is better imo. grading is still pretty much the same. you don't lose anything for holding onto the ball too long like in 11 though, so that is a plus. it is a lot easier to make shots in 13 too. also a lot easier to get assists. you can't block dunks anymore though, but you can block layups.

mario_potPosted 1/8/2013 2:38:47 AM | lol well I was possibly the biggest 2k11 fan ever. 2k11 got me into basketball and basketball history so i adored that game . With that said i absolutely love NbA 2k13 i don't think i like it better than 2k11 but as i said i'm biased.
It definitely has a learning curve and they changed the controls for all the positions pretty dramatically. So i know for me it took at least 5 games for me to adjust to the new controls. overall it is a fantastic game. The new my player is greatly expanded , now you have credits that apply across all the game modes so it's pretty easy to grind for currency to increase your payer skills( with an online collection at least). any how all in all i love 2k13 and if you loved 2k11 i can't see how you won't love it quite a bit too . also there is no more my tea and the myplayer black top mode is 3 on 3..

SatoshiMutouPosted 1/8/2013 6:00:16 PM | 2k13 is just flashy outside of some new iso controls. Thats really the biggest change is how you can use both control sticks to dribble. They also introduced this game player abilities, where every player only has a set skill set instead of you being able to make any player have any skill.
The games have been very similar since 2k11 since that was the 1st game they started to include jordan and most of the legends. Some of the mechanics have changed a bit since then (I know the post game improved in 2k12) and in this game you have bounce passing brought back, but besides that, its all basketball. They are doing the same thing yet again.
This game also introduced the vc credits and how you can build your own team with coins but I never really got into that. Since 2k11 most of the games have remained the same outside a few new changes. |
