I find it ironic that people jab at Sony for unoriginality

Well, no. Playstation controllers have never been comfortable, and they simply stuck tiny handles and two extra shoulder buttons on the SNES pad in the first place.

Subjective
Yeah, only the first part of that could be considered remotely subjective.

With analog sticks. It was simple in design but what it did was innovative. It didn't need to have an overly complex appearance

I laugh at the people who think sony sucks cause they are ripping off SSB

first off if nobody ever "ripped off" someone elses work we would never be where we are today yes sony has been ripping off nintendo for ages as an above post has said, but somehow Sony makes it better,

Nintendo adds thumbsticks, Sony adds thumbsticks.

Sony added two thumbsticks, back then this was actually a drastic innovation, one which nintendo never adopted untill the gamecube

Nintendo adds rumble packs, Sony adds rumblepacks.

nintendo's rumble pak came as a seperate add on for the controller, sony made the vibration and rumbling an actual part IN the controller itself

Nintendo has motion controls, Sony has motion controls.

nintendo's original motion controls were based around light flickering on the tv and a sensor on the controller that also used light to determine where objects where on screen, sony's playstation eye actually used a camera to detect motion and go from there, a concept now used in microsoft's kinect.

Sony has motion controls again, only MORE like Nintendo's motion controls.

This is probably your only valid argument, but again, the wii's controller sucks and the fact you have to use actual batteries and the controllers tend to glitch out by the second half of the battery life make it even more dull, also sony's move controllers actualkly work and they have an internal battery so you don't have to hassle with them.

Oh and just to nitpick: Sony was the first one who made a stand for their console to stand vertically when they released the ps2, guess the wii is ripping that off huh!?
