Yup, we're gonna need a WipEout stage in this game.

Having a level set on Sol 2 would be pretty awesome, so long as we're basically making Super Smash Bros HD: Sony Edition. Maybe even have one set in Grand Valley from the Gran Turismo games. Oh, and a Motorstorm level too. Scorched, or maybe Sugar Rush?

There is already a Wiepout power up in the game.

The only way I can see a Wipeout level working is you can see the vehicles racing in teh background, go off screen, and then on the actual level, horizontally, racing past the fighters, and quick speed too.

The question will be who gets paired with the wipeout level... and not a racing IP thanks.

Maybe G-Police... like they are flying trying to shoot the wipeout racers, and then they eventually take turns shooting randomly at the level.

The yellow shield you can use to prevent yourself getting hurt. Wipeout inspired :)

I wouldn't call that WipEout-based, plenty of games have energy barriers made of hexagons.

Ok so which other Sony game does it come from?

Im not saying I dont agree... i just dont know a single other Sony IP where you get a sheeld that fully covers you and protects you from damage.

I also believe I heard in a video that it was WO based but need to find it so consider this a loose end point.

Resistance would be another guess but the hedgehog grenade is already in.

Except that the shield in Resistance does not cover you like it does in Wipeout... its merely a shield in front of you.

Considering the fact that the shield is a yellow hexagonal sphere just like the one in Wipeout and the fact that devs themselves said that it's from Wipeout, I think it's safe to say that you're wrong.
