1st Claim - Not true. Frankly, I don't care about DMC enough to care.
2nd Claim - Also not true. But when it's all DMC fans whinge and complain about....well, you gotta take advantage of it, right? Besides, it's not like Dante is the only character who has been rebooted continually...and yet those characters are still called by their original names. Why not Dante?

I didn't think about him being a costume for "Donte". I'd settle for that.
