At the time, both were competing for popularity, and it's somewhat like a hero and sidekick battle.

Nathan Drake Versus Sly Cooper.
Both theives and treasure hunters.

Evil Cole Versus Fat Princess.
Both greedy, one for cake and one for power.

Sir Dan Versus Colonel Radec
Both fallen soldiers after redemtion and glory.

Sackboy Versus Big Daddy.
The Little Sister views them in a similar light, as just giant dolls/toys. That, and Big Daddy is a jealous noodle.

Nariko Versus Dante.
Ninja Theory rivalry, Heaven Versus Hell in a way.

Heihachi Versus Toro.
Japanese rivalry, I believe.

Spike Versus Parappa.
PS1 rivalry, 'forgotten all-stars', if you will.

Kratos Versus Sweet Tooth.
The David Jaffe rivalry (created both characters).


The rivalries in this game DO make sense, even if they are short-lived.
Just gotta pick it apart.

lol, I remember that. But I was referring to the term "noodle". Is it something you made up, or am I a bit behind? :P

Also, there's this one YouTube-r that he calls his fans "noodles", but he only has about 3k subs.
