Knowledge_King posted...See I disagree completely. The fact that you can do that in Smash makes it more versatile. You can be aggressive, passive, normal, counter, literally a runner, a manipulator, etc. In All stars you only have one choice. Get AP and then super. It kills the whole system of party fighter and real fighter to need a super just to kill someone.
Maybe if it wasn't the case that one of those strategies dominates every 4-player mode (Runaway for Stock FFA and Poacher for Time FFA). Running away is obviously dominant in stock, nothing really needs to be explained there (the less damage you take, the longer you'll survive, and thus the more likely you are to win). In Time, Poaching is dominant because you get all of the reward with none of the work, and this also helps you stay alive longer since you don't have to duke it out as much.
PSAS handles the offense / defense tradeoff much better than Smash, because you don't have a single strategy that affords both. In Time FFA, there's some incentive to stay alive as well, because getting killed a lot costs you points. But since you can't just poach, you either have to tolerate slow meter gain from far away or get in there and put yourself at risk to build meter.

This is something we definitely agree upon.
