Yeah, the music is surprisingly good.

I'll make my review in a day or 2. Otherwise my sig just seems silly.

If you're enjoying All-Stars don't forget to give it a fair and thoughtful review. We've got to counteract the kneejerk reactions and hissyfits.

In your review you said Arcade and Combat trials are the only single player modes. If you're going to do a review try not to spread false information.

There's also:

1. Tutorials. This includes basic, advanced and character specific combo trials (some of these are pretty in depth and exist for all characters).

2. VS mode (against CPUs). With a wide variety of customization game options.

3. Practice mode. With a lot of standard options you find in fighting games and some unique ones.

That's a lot of stuff you forgot to mention.
The single player isn't lacking at all. It already has more than most traditional fighters.

Also may I ask why you are rating the story when this is a fighting game? You even said it yourself.

Hawt damn. I do mention tutorial mode (I bundle this with practice since they are very similar.). The VS mode is assumably under offline multiplayer. I think you're missing the point. My point is there isn't many extra modes. For example, Tekken 3 has the following:

Arcade Mode
VS Battle
Team Battle
Time Attack
Survival
Practice
Tekken Force
Theatre
Options

These three modes that are in bold are single player modes which two are very easy to implement. These are extra modes that aren't part of the multiplayer, options, or arcade/story related modes.

I really think you misunderstood what I wrote.

I'm not criticizing the story like its a deep plot with moving themes and mind blowing characters. I'm criticizing it by how the writers fed the craving fans for their fan fictions. I just expected more interactions between characters and an explained motivation to play.

Umm no. Just no. Tutorials is nothing like practice mode. You clearly haven't done much of either. Tutorials give you set tasks to perform and I repeat, combos for every character, some which can get quite complex. Practice mode gives you a plethora of options not found elsewhere.

In Versus you can vs the CPU with 5 difficulty settings so it's clearly not just for multiplayer.

And you clearly said under "replay value" Arcade and combat trials are the only single player modes. I repeat. This is false.

Tutorial and practice are nearly the same. The fact that you're arguing about this is fine, but the fact that you're arguing this when context is about variety means you're wrong. I'm talking about variety. So: umm yes. just yes .

Versus mode is used mainly for local multiplayer, and you are right in saying that it could be used for fighting only CPU. However, back to the original point: variety.

As for me saying arcade mode and combat trials are the only single player modes, it's true in the sense of actual game play (and not practice). If you want to count VS mode, then fine. You're "right" in that sense. However, I'm not "OMZTOTALLYALLWRONG, LIES EVERYWHERE, MY EYES!!"- wrong.

I honestly don't know why you're arguing this. It's not as "wrong" as you make it to be. Also, I love the game and you're acting like my review hates the game.
