Id rather the game go at a slower rate, then teleporting and dying by moves that never actually touched me. At least in Brawl, both are suffering, but here, you can randomly lose because of these BS teleports just because what his game says takes priority over what your game says.

Superbot used this new method so there would be no actual lag or at least, not nearly as much. This method exists in Persona 4 as well I believe and some other fighters.
Basically you both aren't playing at the exact same time, the commands are being synced 20 frames apart from what I heard or so.

Both methods do have their pros and cons but I've lost track to how much stupid stuff I've gotten hit by in online Brawl matches. Or how many things that I failed to punish. All because of lag. So maybe I'm more than a little biased lol.

And plus I've hardly experienced any teleporting yet.

At any rate Superbot mentioned their improving the network as part of the patch (which should come out tomorrow) so we'll see if BS teleporting still occurs.

I liked brawl's netcode more as well. This kind of netcode works better for shooters IMO.

That might explain some things. Actually, one of my favorite examples of it were when dabuz and I were shooting his combo vid, since he can't, we had to do it online. Anyway, one of the combos requires a wall bounce into a super. On his screen it of course worked and showed perfectly, but on mine, what would happen was Id wall bounce, get knocked down while he uses his lvl 1, then while I'm on the ground flashing white Id just blow up and die. We tried probably about 8 times to get the game to show it properly, but eventually gave up and just settled on the clip we shot.

Keep in mind you are on the West Coast. Dabuz and I are on the East coast. That's a heck of a lot of distance between us.

That first gamefaqs tourny we ran the streamer was in the match so it was always at least 3 people with him as Sly cooper. We still saw no random teleporting or anything. Matches went by very smoothly.

It could be stage dependant as well though I doubt it.
