So they didn't fix Sir Dan's shield glitch?

It by no means makes anyone else's moves or abilities useless. It doesn't make him invincible, it doesn't stop him from getting shot or juggled or blown away or stunned or whatever. It just gives him a bit more AP, which can only be used on supers that most people consider weak and very avoidable anyway.


Someone already argued against saying that they literally walked straight through projectiles and several people saying his AP will shoot up by 300 at a time, zam. This argument doesnt hold up.
Almost 90% of Radec's moveset are projectiles which while this glitch is active get absorbed which sometimes may or may not have some kind of affect on him and could potentially give him a huge AP boost which also seems to be random at times as well. Most of Radecs moveset is now rendered worthless outside of a couple moves.
No character should have a glitch like this where it makes an entire character and playstle pretty much useless, regardless of tier. :/

Tell me how it destroys your playstyle? It does nothing and stops nothing you do. Even if Sir Dan gets enough AP to build a super, he has no sure fire way to hit you with ANY of them. His lvl 1 is the worst in the game, his lvl 2 can be dodged as long as you time it right, and even his lvl 3 can get 0-1 kill on big maps, you're only unlucky on the Dojo stage. Sir Dan has this one slight advantage and all of you think it makes him as menacing as Kratos, who STILL builds AP way faster and has more destructive supers. This needs to be fixed now, more than Kratos or the guys with infinites or overpowered supers? What kind of twisted reasoning is that???

All of Radecs attacks bar 2? count as projectiles and then those attacks are poor, how does that not destroy anything?

Lol if? Dan builds AP like a tank and will get them sooner or later with the tech chase and he can combo into his level 2, also Radec has poor mobility, if he gets him in his level 3 to begin with its GG.

There are other characters with worse level ones BD, Jak etc Atleast for Dan its so so safe to throw out.

Lol getting 300 AP from one projectile at times is a slight advantage?

This has, luckily, been fixed. So, I guess the crack smokers that think that getting four level 3s a match is fair are going to be pissed.

No because you just said that they should allow a character to keep a glitch that completely eliminates a style of game play because you feel it justifies his downfalls as a character... but that might just be how i saw it


"Completely eliminates a style of gameplay"? HOW? Everyone makes it sound like his shield swallows projectiles like kirby without him being fazed. If that were true, more people would main him and he would dominate all projectile-relying characters, the perfect counter to Radec, Sackboy, Ratchet, etc, but clearly its not. He still gets hit and knocked away and interrupted just like any other character. In addition, the shield can break, and when it does he's stunned and 100% vulnerable to anything. How the hell does that completely eliminate a style of gameplay?

After the Shield glitch is activated, that is exactly what happens. The reason more people don't main him is because there are also characters who aren't affected (Raiden,Kratos,PaRappa,etc.) and they are quite common. On top of the fact that Sir Dan is much harder to use.

Seems there is a bit of confusion as to how the shield glitch works. Being the guy that discovered it, I feel it's my duty to explain.

The shield glitch makes it so Sir Dan needs no shield out to absorb projectiles. If a projectile hits him from the front, he will take no hit stun and does not fall over after 3 hits to his shield.

As far as AP gain, it seems random. But it most certainly isn't +5. I think a sniper shot gives 60-80 AP while Nariko's Disk can give 300+. This is a problem no matter how you look at it. If Nariko throws out a disk on accident or it bounces the wrong way, then Sir Dan is well on his way to lvl 3.

Then there is the real problem of the level 2 super shield glitch. Not only does this give the above properties, but it also reduced his hurt box somehow. This means attacks and grabs will whiff when they should have hit.

In all honesty, he's ban tier in tournaments until this is addressed.

Oh, so the glitch was fixed after all? I sure hope so. I cant test it right now, so Ill have to wait

Seems like a pretty big thing to leave out of the patch notes though
