Belt System further explanation

Hi.
Can someone explain to me how the belt system works, please?
I was at 53 green and won a match and got to 61 green, then I got and 2nd for 1 point and dropped to 59 green. After that I've finished at 4th and nothing happened (still 59 green) and THEN I've won for a bigger difference from the 2nd (bigger than the 1st battle) and got to 62 green! Then I got last again and dropped to 48!

So, basically, how this damn thing works?! Is really something related with the other players's belts?
I saw that there's an answer in the "Answer", but I would like something more

BTW: It's possible to go back to blue belt from green? I saw a guy once that was 0 green...

That's about as good an explanation you can hope for

Hum... Now everything is clear! Really thanks for that!
So, since this game has a EXTREME stupid searching function for online battles (keep putting you against the SAME players lots of times in a row), then if you want to get a black belt you have to STOP playing for that day when you are fighting though guys and keep playing the day while you're facing begginers.
Kind stupid also that you can get killed by a lucky shot of a low belt player and get THAT much of "damage" to your belt...
Good thing that the belts resets at the beggining of each season. It becomes much less frustraiting...

Honestly if you want the black belt you need to get better,

If a lucky shot from a low belt throws you off that much you are not doing well enough, but I do agree it can be fustrating wheh it happens.

It's totally stupid that the points you gain drop off so drastically with only a small change in BP. It should clearly be +2 / -2 and +4 / -4 rather than 1 and 5.

I think its fine.

What I would change however is the the amount these varibles work at.

50 BP is nothing and they can be a lot better than you with such a small difference I would honestly make it 100-150.

That would help a little as well, but 1 / 5 is still too much. The skill gaps, even at 100 BP, aren't that drastic in this game. It also means there's like zero incentive for you to play a match if the best you can get is +3 (and you could lose up to 15).

It is per player though so I think it is fine.

Agreed but there has to be a line as to what a skill gap actually is.

Black belt incentive?

This game becomes much less of a chore once you realize that ranked matches are pointless considering all the ragequitting, forward squaring, spammers you have to face.

Just play Quick Match. Less stress for you.
