if your teammate has a crumple move and uses it with raiden's grab it makes it like it used to be.

spikes laser.

Also another way to extend raiden's combos.

Knockdown, and thusly Raiden is also able to recover quicker.

Wait... knockdown, stand on top of them, Level 1...

Only if they choose the wrong wakeup option. No good player should fall for it.

They can obviously just roll backwards to avoid it. They can possibly even hold L to stay on the ground the whole time if you activate it immediately after the throw.

Now, the question is whether it's possible to land a guaranteed super in the corner after a throw, similar to how Ratchet does it. It might well be, Raiden's super has pretty good range and stays out for a long time.

So 90% of players will still get hit XD and a good player will chase their wake up.

It's still risky because if the super is avoided, they can punish you very easily for full combo or super. To say nothing of the meter you waste.

The better option is to take the knockdown, then tech chase with something like >[] and confirm that into the super for a guaranteed kill.

Agreed vs good players but the majority is just going to get hit with it over and over for afew weeks until they adapt to it.
