His 2 is easy to dodge and his 3 is a cinematic, but he can combo into his level 1 easily. His level 1 is basically a much worse version of Fat Princess level 1. The big difference is that while Fat Princess can confirm hers off any Sword Soldier, which are all very safe and can hit multiple people for a confirmed multikill, Toro has to confirm off something like Divekick, which is much less safe and will generally only hit one person. The super itself is slow as dirt and will basically never get multikills because it's so easy to see it coming and roll out of the way. It has bad recovery too, even if it hits. Level 2 and 3 are obviously bad for the reasons mentioned above. I would put Toro's level 1 about on par with Spike's level 1. It's usable and can get kills but other characters have much better options. --- http://terosclassicgaming.blogspot.com/ - Watch me beat "GBA Summon Night Swordcraft Story" http://www.backloggery.com/tero - My backloggery |
ButaSamaPosted 2/1/2013 8:09:48 AM | Jak bar none.
Level 1 - No practical combos into it - Minimal horizontal range (I've actually been killed by Ratchet's L1 while attempting to punish it from behind. Needless to say, I just wait until the active frames end to punish it now :/ ). - Intended to be an anti-air but loses to many aerial attacks due to hurt box issues.
Level 2 - Horrendous start-up time. It's seriously like 4 seconds! That is an eternity to react in a game such as this. - Small area of effect relative to the start-up time the super has. - Must leap in a direction, and the super does not extend back to its point of origin. This limits its ability to kill more than some may realize.
Level 3 - One of the best L3s, but good luck seeing it against reasonably competent opponents in a 3:00 match due to Jak's atrocious AP generation. I'm not a black belt Jak (7 points shy of red belt this FFA season), but I've already found that winning with Jak is about relying on his L1 and good super defense when fighting most red belts and above. |

TerotrousPosted 2/1/2013 10:23:01 AM | Well you're welcome to go out there and kick some butt with Toro if you think he's decent. RoyMaster4Posted 2/1/2013 10:30:14 AM | Sir Dan, easily.
Level 1: Can't be comboed into unless you hit a lucky Up Triangle, and in general is just very tough to hit with. At least Jak's has an easier time setting up his and doesn't need to normally.
Level 2: While it can be hit confirmed on one opponent, the rest of the opponents can easily dodge the rest of the super.
Level 3: Not the worst level 3 in the game (That honor goes to Fat Princess), but there's no guarantee you're going to get any kills off of this. It can be escaped by most opponents, but you'll probably get a couple kills in a FFA setting. I'd rather have the guaranteed kills, personally.
Second worst I'd give to Nariko. She has a great level 3, sure, but her first 2 supers are terrible. --- Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198023511833 Pokemon White FC: 1420-6147-6059 |

1. Dante 2. Spike 3. Sir Dan 4. Nariko 5. Big Daddy
IMO of course. why dante? he can combo right into his lvl1 then combo right into the super. its hard to do but its still amazing if youre a skilled dante. |

Probably just picked him up for an hour and gave up when he wasn't easy to use and then decided to come here to pretend to spew your l33tpr0fightinggamexpertise all over the place like you do. I'm not entirely sure how to explain things to a brick wall, and I don't plan to, but Toro is easily one of the better characters to rack up kills with. If you know what you're doing with him, of course. Man, it's neckbeards like you who ruined this board for me. --- Who would win, Jedi Charizard or Jedi Jigglypuff? "I'm a bagel whore" -blazin640 |
