is spike obscure?

It amazes me how many people don't know spike or ape escape in general. It was one of my first games I bought on Ps1 and the reason I splurged on a dualshock controller

If I'm not mistaken, it's one of the pioneers of the dualshock controller. Ape Escape was an amazing game, and fresh at the time, I'm surprised there are a lot of people who don't know much about it too.

Very weird. I mean, i can understand the sequals being obscure (they just went japanese crazy with those games) I was so hyped for the first one. It's gameplay rivaled mario 64 (which at that time when platform games were king, was the benchmark of a great gaming)

Ape Escape 2 is probably my most played single player game of all time.
