PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

i keep seeing people say it works on the PS3 as well, but no proof.
i have seen proof for the vita version:

even trying what people say to do on the PS3 version, i cant seem to get it to work.
could anybody make video of how to do it?

either that or just help me see if i am doing something wrong.

to start i do have one dlc outfit already and its Radec's.

from what ive been told you have to select the character with the costume and then switch to the costume, but back out and select a different character and they will have it for some reason.

(that just sounds like how it works on the vita from what i saw in the video. im also pretty sure the glitch hasnt been patched yet either.)

I would be very surprised if it didn't work. I'm 90% sure that some of the people pulling it off don't even have a vita.
