I'm wondering. Some of the characters are semi interesting and work well in their respective games. Not to mention the game is based off an already amazing and proven succesful game formula. What exactly went wrong?

1. Top 6 requested characters are all missing.
2. No good advertising.
3. Horrible release date (same month as COD and AC).
4. Lacking in "party" modes, single player diverse content is lacking.
5. Super system as opposed to desired percent (Smash) system.
6. Countless glitches and bugs.

Essentially, what everyone says. I think the main problem was that this game was a big rush job. They had less than 1 year to make the game, which gave much, much, MUCH less time to do a lot of things, hence the smaller roster, buggy game, and bad balance..

Also, Activision doesn't wanna give Crash up.

Incorrect.

This game was in development for 3 years. The combined development time of 64 and Melee was less. They have no excuse because of time.

i feel like they know had bad their game is but instead of making it right the first time i think their going to try to fix the game with dlcs characters that are made much better better places and updates that keeps buffing up certain characters and nerfing other characters then characters that they buffed will need to be nerfed and vise versa

What's the gale controversy?
And I feel like they should have added crash. He is in my opinion the closest Sony has to a Mario esq when it comes to recognizability
