Spam the arc wielder, and needle lazer, Ironically two of jaks previously most useless moves are his saving grace in this match up. His arc helps significantly in shutting down kats rushdown, and even if she makes it around it has almost instant recovery, so you can leap away, and continue zoning with it.

If shes leaping circles above, or below you, use the needle lazer to cover those would be safe zones. Lastly....the wall is your friend. Not only does this limit her avenues of approach, but also limits hers usage of some of her attacks like the slide, and dive attacks.

This works, though you wont be reaching lv3 anytime soon with it......and good luck with his lv2, so your mostly have to rely on his lv1, while being arguably the worst super, it being an anti air one is a significant advantage.

Though the most important factor in this strategy is patients, and forcing the kats to lose theirs, so she'll make mistakes.

quick I just found a way to spam the spammer!
(two weeks later) I found a way to counter spam the spamming against our spamming!

I swear everytime I go into these topics it doesn't sound like people giving advice in the game just people giving more and more exploitable attacks that just suck out all the fun I have in this game,

Spam Debris to get in and use (*Wavedash* Jump > Down + Forward + X > Triangle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3JHWkpYNz0 ) to get in, Also Down triangle *Slide* goes under and avoids bullets. Jump happy Jaks Gravity Air combos.

Needle Laser works great for enemies trying to do fall attacks on you (curves right around to cover you head and hit em), and Arc Wielder works pretty good if you use it in the air to fall on them, and then continue it on the ground (resets its timer for how long it goes when you land.) Most people don't catch that little ability.

you are basically stating that jak should kite her to death which is his playstyle, and that you can win the match but it is difficult. while i agree with you, the deck is stacked against jak, because i feel kat is the stronger character on average. if you are fighting an equal level kat you will lose.

kat gains ap very fast, its not a good idea to spam lower ap moves unless you are sure they will keep kat away from you reliably enough to widdle her down. it is risky. these tips also only work in 1v1 because if its 2v2 the kat can switch players and get ap on a non kiting character and then come kill you.

Seeing at how well this is constructed im going to guess you are a Jak main to at least an extent? As a Jak main I can confirm this is true. The Wave Concussor is Kats upper-hand at punishing Jak. Also.

It's best to short hop while using both weapons because Jak can use faster it in the air, especially the Needle Lazer. It's also more effective.

The Arc Wielder and Needle Lazer were crap before they got their buffs. The Arc Wielder got an acceptable and respectable buff, but Jak's Needle Lazer wasn't buff correctly.

Needle Lazer is just a good pinch gun. Even though I use this gun consistently and it helps me out a lot its still not where it needs to be when compared to the rest of the cast guns.
