It is considered by many as an arrogant act of d-baggery.
One must be very careful when committing such an act on any competitive online game.
Repeated Crouching may have these effects on your opponent:
-button mashing -increase in bad decision making -speech impediments -increase in profanity usage -rise in blood pressure -stress increase -loss of reasoning -heavy breathing -toothache -anxiety -cramps -headache -bloody nose -death
When one crouches on an online competitive game, they are not concerned for the well being of the person they are facing. This small act alone has been capable of destroying online communities, which is amazing since it seems online communities these days can be easily represented as houses built on sand.
Crouching should not only be removed from this game, but all genres that involve online gameplay with strangers that are easily offended by such a small act. This small act can be very harmful for those who do not handle anger or stress well.
All fighting, first person shooters, puzzle and platforming games should have the crouch option removed altogether, and I am here to tell the easily offended that there is a way. Worry not about being annoyed by the vertical motion of pixels. Join PERC (People for the Ethical Removal of Crouching) today and fight for an end to crouching characters. Because if there are no toilets around, why should they have the right to crouch?
