TheNardDog posted... fuzzylittlbunny posted...My point is that you said nothing about the hit confirms being practical. My opinion is that it doesn't really matter who has hit confirms. It's a fighter/brawler, and no game like that will end up balanced. Hello mr. Metaknight... So I say just let the developers do what they want, and at the very least, they could keep characters close to their original incarnation. I guess it just doesn't bother me that certain characters are far better than others. I know that people will flock to characters that are easier to win with, but meh, it's their game, and I'm not one to complain if they use derp hit confirms like the Giga Punch. And I don't mind that some characters were given such easy ways to land their level 1 while others have a ridiculously hard time with it. --- ( ^_^)/\(^_^ ) Maya high five!

Well complaining apparently does get things done with this. Sitting down and just doing nothing when you hate it is a pretty bad thing to do. No fighting game is going to be 100% balanced, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try. --- Sullivan is a dirty old man. PSN: UltraMan321
TC just about everyone in the game has hit confirms. Your whole premise is false from the beginning. For instance, using your character as an example, Jak's forward square to level 2 is a kill confirm.

You don't sit down and do nothing. You think of ways to counter the things that you hate instead of just taking the scrub route and whining for a nerf. Speaking of which, that reminded me of a great t-shirt I saw... I'm gonna see if I can find a picture of it. Ah, that's right, it was from Brokentier. http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0057/9482/products/WhiteAdapt_1024x1024.png?2075 Man, the product details for that shirt is great too: Learn to overcome your bad match-ups and adapt under any situation. --- ( ^_^)/\(^_^ ) Maya high five!

Well if there is one for nariko i wouldnt mind knowing it, lol --- If it defecates, urinates, or rudely barks orders, I have no issues with crushing its skull.-Shale
Here's my opinion on kill confirms. Level 1: Should be a highly telegraphed move or highly impractical set up (like a wall bounce) to be able to kill confirm with it. If it's something you can literally use anywhere on the stage that's extremely fast, safe, and easy to use *coughGigaPnchcough*, then it should not be allowed. Level 2: Like Lucario said, having a hit confirm for a level 2 is just fine. Since it can cost 2-3 times more than a level 1, that one kill you get with it is likely not going to be worth it in FFA. Maybe in 2v2 and definitely 1v1 though. Level 3: Besides cinematics, these should always have the potential for 4-6 kills. Making level 1s guaranteed just completely breaks the risk/reward system, because if you have an easy way into level 1, why waste AP saving up for anything better when you could possibly miss with that, too? --- Alt of NDgamer Building up Karma til I can make this my main |
