So Does Ratchet Have Any AP Burst Combos?

That don't involve wall bouncing.

I was able to do that side sqaure > side sqaure > jump > neutral sqaure x3 > Jump cancel > neutral circle but the new update stops that combo at the second side square.

The update doesn't stop that combo. It can be still be done, I still do it.

And yes Ratchet still has several AP burst combos without walls.

I tried to do that combo last night in practice mode, is the timing different or something? I couldn't get Ratchet to jump in time for the neutral sqaure attack despite rapidly pressing x after side sqaure.

You have to be very close to your opponent after the second side square.

But I'm pretty sure this was always the case.

You can do anything with Ratchet if you try hard enough.

Okay I just tried the combo mentioned in the opening post against a Jak dummy in practice mode and he recovers before I jump after the second side square (or he is about to).
The only only hit I can manage to land is the final neutral square move. And that's not even guaranteed to hit vs a real person as you can dodge straight through it.

He's actually right; that combo is no longer possible as it was a 1 frame link and Ratchet's jump was changed from 9 frames to 10 frames of start up. Thanks, Superbutt.

Anyway, my current AP bursts post-patch include:

a.n.2, s.1, s.1, u.1, u.2
a.n.2, s.1, s.1, u.2 (in corner)
a.n.1 1, JC, a.n.2, s.1, s.1, u.1, u.2

You can also do the following situational combos:

n.2 charge (guard break), s.1, s.1, u.1, u.2
s.3 (3 hits), a.n.1 1, JC, a.n.2, s.1, s.222
(tall characters only) a.n.3 (charge), a.n.1 1, JC, a.n.2, s.1, (s.222) or (u.2) or (u.1, u.2)

If I think of any others, I'll let you know.

It's now character specific. It's not really worth doing due to how few characters it works on now.

Who doesn't it work on? It's worked on everyone I've tried it on.
