if you're the Host. Raidens Down Throw still gives you 30 AP, even if the opponent doesn't have any AP to give.

The nature of Raiden's grab is to take 30 ap no matter what. It caps out at 30 ap though, whereas other grabs can afford more if the opponents current ap is pretty high.

It says this in the guide, haha.

I was with my friend online in Versus.

I was Raiden, he was ST.

He literally had 0 AP. But I got 30 AP from the grab.

So we switched roles.

Me being ST, him being Raiden. Sure enough, he didnt get the 30 AP in the same situation.
