Create A Stage

#1Nightstryk3r619Posted 5/23/2013 10:13:36 AM
Alright, right now I'm in sort of a stage creating mood, so if there's any requests for a stage (and hopefully they're of games that I've played, I'll try to see if I can make some of them.)

The Butterfly (Heavy Rain X Legend of Dragoon)

Phase 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGlO7PHbkio
Phase 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBOU0E9cy8E

The arena is set upon the abandoned power plant from Heavy Rain, while Ethan Mars is in the background attempting to dodge through the active power lines gently, to reach the opposite end. About a minute in, Frugal and multiple Hellena Wardens enter the arena, trying to subdue Ethan, who will dodge them, and push them into the hazards within the background trying to escape after successfully retrieving the words he needs for the Origami Killer's puzzle.

Ethan scrambles through the electrical field, all the while Frugal's minions lob Spark Nets to try to hurt both Ethan and the players. A purple glow will be on the floor at the section where the spark net will hit, and if a person is hit with it, they have to rhythmically hold buttons or mash a certain button to escape the current, in typical Heavy Rain fashion to avoid getting hit with supers and losing AP.

When the level ends, Ethan escapes, while Frugal curses his wardens for their failure.

Rapture (Bioshock X Critical Depth)

Phase 1 theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEFIZh_Zscc
Phase 2 theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzMAndtwOWM

The camera phases through the intro to Rapture, and then through a glass tunnel, where the fighters will be brawling at. In the background, on can see various fish swimming in the background However, a minute and fifteen seconds into the fight, all of a sudden, three of six submarines from Critical Depth will begin to fight in the background. You'll see either Manta (CIA), The Stalingrad (USSR Remnants), The Anarchy (The Venegaza Liberation Army), The Armageddeon (Mad scientist Dr. A. Pocalypse), Lockjaw (A student of an Indiana Jones like professor), or The Ohm (a cult-like group who worships a being similar to Cthulhu)

Along with them, will be the Sea Dog (a pirate-ship submarine), that will fire cannonballs that miss the opposing submarines, but will hit the tunnel, and puncture it to harm the players (there will be warning markers on the ground, as always.) Water will also lightly leak onto the floor, slowing down movement on the floor, but not on other platforms in the level.

Clocktower (Soulcalibur X Sly Cooper)

Phase 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UrRkvSNrO0
Phase 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3jqEzOT5BY

The arena opens up to the Clocktower stage from Soulcalibur 3, with a gigantic gear for the four characters to fight on. as well as two smaller gears beneath it, and a floor as well.

The fight starts out normal for a minute, until we see Sir Galleth Cooper in the background, looking as if he's ready to steal something, when Clockwerk breaks through the face of the clocktower, shattering part of the wall. He then proclaims "Perfection HAS no age!"

Sir Galleth battles Clockwerk, while the theme changes. Galleth lands a Catapult Crash on Clockwerk, then the second wave of his arrival begins. Clockwerk fires purple energy blasts from a top mounted cannon, spraying on the players. These attacks force an AP loss npon impact, until Galleth knocks him away with a Catapult Crash.

The final stage, Clockwerk comes back, firing rings with electric energy around it, or inside of it. If this hits, the victim is stunned, and open for attack for a couple seconds. Finally, the hazards end with a final blow from Galleth, as Clockwerk says, before flying away... "YOU WILL NEVER BE RID OF ME! CLOCKWERK IS SUPERIOR!!!!"

Think Tank (Fallout: New Vegas X Portal)

Level appearance: A sleek silver room, with a control panel covered by a blast shield on top. Below is pretty much a pit with four platforms, in a diamond pattern, with the top two being a little longer than the ones on the sides.

We enter through the Sink, entering into a testing chamber that Dr. Klein, Dr. 0, Dr. 8 and the rest of the Think Tank behind a control panel, observing the fight below (for science!)

Klein and 0 will have individual lines about two of the participants in the match, until the 1:20 mark, when Wheatley triggers an explosive that will blast the Think Tank doctors away. Then GLADoS will start to randomly trigger the arena hazards(with warning, like small flames starting to appear, or beams charging), while spouting out condescending insults to the other two participants who haven't been mentioned.

Both of the bottom corners will have flame vents, that reach up to the first platform, and cause gradual AP loss. Between the second layer of platforms, the first and third layer will project a small laser grid that will hurt enemies, stunning them for a hit, The top layer will have pistons that will jet out from the walls, and cause knockback to the victim, making them lose AP. Finally, the top platform will become an electrified plate, that will stun victims, and cause AP loss.

Phase 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6qt_70iGk4
Phase 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uAsD6lQV1I

Edward City (Dino Crisis X Batman: Arkham Asylum)

Background: http://img.brothersoft.com/screenshots/softimage/d/dino_crisis_2-291295-1253693043.jpeg

Hazard(s): http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Q8xChZWTgt8/TVUs4Y7KO3I/AAAAAAAAACs/hB40WMnQVlA/s1600/97735__batman-arkham-asylum-poison-ivy-boss-fight.jpeg

Phase 1 theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcUjUpEMxIE
Phase 2 theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmBUcaoqcXA

We enter through a chainlink gate, into an arena that has a pyramid set of platforms in three layers. In the background, there will be scenes of Dylan or Regina fighting off Velociraptors with guns a blazin'. The fight then begins to escalate at the 1:15 mark, when a giant T-Rex starts to walk into the fray, but the ground quakes, as Ivy's Titan enhanced plant from Arkham Asylum emerges from the ground.

She makes quick work of the T-Rex, with it's energy blasts, before paying attention to the fighters below. Her attacks are burst fires from the flowers, or a vine will crash into the ground, triggering vines to snag an opponent, and syphon AP, as well as leaving them open for an attack. All the while, Ivy will repeat some of her lines from the Arkham series with each attempt at harming the players.

At the last 15 seconds, either Dylan or Regina will fire a Javelin missile at Ivy, causing her to scream in pain, while the plant begins to crawl back into the fissure it made into the ground.

Liberty City (Grand Theft Auto III X Twisted Metal: Black)

Background: You're on various rooftops of the skyscrapers in Liberty City, as you can see billboards advertising various things within that universe, like Liberty City Survivor, the Maibatsu Monstrosity, or Chatterbox FM.

Hazard(s): http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110518151046/twistedmetal/images/thumb/f/fb/Warhawk_hacked_character_select.jpg/250px-Warhawk_hacked_character_select.jpg

Phase 1 theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tK6nqqzShJc
Phase 2 theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blPxb9sPBlY

We pan over the backdrop of Liberty City, seeing some of the various gangs, like the Leone Mafia, the Colombian Cartel, and the Diablos as well, before the fight begins on the rooftops. It's mostly flat, except for a couple of large air conditioning units to act as borders. The first phase has no hazards, but until a 1:20 in a normal match hits, Warhawk flies in saying to the people battlings "You are in violation of Midtown Code 4-4-3-2!"

Warhawk has three different attacks to use. His first attack is a front ram with that spiked grill, that will push people off of the edge. It causes them to respawn in the middle of the map and lose a little AP, with stun properties. His second attack is typical machinegun fire that will cause some knockback, similar to Drake's GAU-19. The third will involve him sending out a ricochet bomb, that will bounce along the borders, until it explodes from an attack, or making contact with a player, knocking them sky high and making them lose significant AP.

The level will end, when a distracted Warhawk gets carjacked by Claude Speed in a news helicopter, before flying off and sending the pilot plummeting to the streets below.

I like em! Now to post mine :D

Phalanax- Shadow of the Colossus, Journey

Theme for first phase- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ql-iOJe_F9g
Theme for second phase- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypNgvc6c6Cc

The battle begins on what seems like a basic desert, a flat floor with dunes and ruins in the background. About 10 seconds in the sand under the All-stars feet seems to start rising, only to fall away as it's revealed they're standing atop Phalanax, the thirteenth colossus. The battleground remains being mostly flat, and is quite large. The stage stays like this for the first minute (assuming it's a 3 minute time match). Ghost tags (if that's what they're called, I keep seeing people call them that) will be seen floating in the wind around the battleground as Phalanax flies onward. The player can jump into them granting them a light flying ability for about 3 seconds. Once jumped into that clump will vanish, though more will appear.

Eventually the mountain will become visible in the background, and the Journeyer will suddenly jump up onto Phalanax with the help of the ghost tags and stare at the mountain from it's back.

Phalanax will suddenly do a barrel roll dropping the Journeyer and the players from it's back down to the desert below. The battle field will then become a desert again, but rather than being flat it will have a few ruins on either side and the center. Each ruin has a platform at different heights. Ghost tags will float among the ruins still offering flight ability. The mountain will still be in the background with Phalanax slowly flying towards it. The Journeyer will stand among the ruins for a short time watching the players before running off towards the mountain.

High Hrothgar- Skyrim, Shadow of the Colossus

Theme for first phase- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_gcNzSb0OI first song.
Theme for the second phase- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYRvf510QL8

The stage takes place in the courtyard of High Hrothgar, with the ledge facing off of the mountain in the background, and the gate leading to said ledge is shut. The stage is set up as flat ground, with the main building of High Hrothgar at the far left end of the stage, acting as a wall. A platform rests on top of it for combatants to stand on. To the right is the gate that leads up to the peak of the Throat of the World, with the whirlwind still going. He whirlwind simply acts as an invisible wall, so projectile attacks will go through it. There are a few pillars with platforms scattered throughout the battlefield.

The greybeards will be observing the battle, but they will not interfere due to their pacifistic nature. About 30 seconds in (assuming it's a 3:00 battle) a dragon will land on one of the ledges to the side of the gate and observe the fight, but unlike the greybeards it will breath fire every now and then on whatever ledge it's on. It will swap ledges every so often.

Once the fight has reached a minute and thirty seconds the dragon will use Storm Call, making the sky become dark and it begins to rain. Flashes of lightning in the background will reveal a massive shape appearing in the background in the plains of Whiterun hold- Malus, the sixteenth Colossus. Throughout most of the fight you will only see his silhouette except for his eyes and the glowing bands on his arms, with flashes of lightning revealing the rest of him.

Malus will send the dragon away with one of his explosive blasts of fire, and destroy the gate in the background. From here, he will fire bolts toward the battleground, though the Greybeards and the dragons that will begin swarming him (which he'll swat away like flies) will prevent a few from reaching it. If they make it past the Greybeards shouts, they will either hit the far left side, smashing into the main building, the center (with a bit of a wider explosion than if it hit the left or right), of the far right.

At the final ten seconds a tiny figure can be seen clambering up onto Malus's head (you can decide whether it's Wander or a particularly badass Nord) and stabbing it, causing Malus to become preoccupied with getting it off rather than attacking the players.

Shao Kahn's Coliseum- Mortal Kombat, Star Wars: Republic Commando

Theme for the first phase- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LvhdYTI1WM
Theme for the second phase- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWHHwxNNFNE

(how it would appear before the second phase, but with Shao Kahn sitting in his throne with Goro and Kintaro standing beside him along with numerous Tarkatan's in the stands- http://mortalkombat.wikia.com/wiki/File:Mk9_kahns_arena02.png)

This stage is completely flat, and about the size it was in Mortal Kombat 2011. There are two solid walls on each side, the stage basically being a much larger version of the Rival Arena. Shao Kahn sits in the background on his throne hurling insults at the different All-Stars (unique lines for each one), with Goro and Kintaro standing on each side of him. With hazards on, the two Shokan will randomly leap onto the battle field in different areas, doing a stomp attack that sends players flying and making them lose AP orbs.

About a minute in (assuming it's a thee minute match) four Tarkatans will be seen dragging two random All-Stars (that aren't in play) into the arena, and will chain them onto the pillars on each side of his throne and the songs will begin to mix.

After about twenty seconds, LAAT drop ships will begin lowering into the arena firing on the stands and loosely at Shao Kahn's throne and the battle field (will only hit the battle field if hazards are on). Clone troopers and Jedi will jump out of the ships as Tarkatans begin leaping down into the coliseum and begin fighting. A stray shot will hit Shao Kahn's throne angering him and making him leap from it roaring. Goro and Kintaro will run off into the battle and Mace Windu will run up to confront Shao Kahn. They will battle just in front of the now shattered throne as players continue fighting, stray gunfire from the drop ships still presenting a hazard. The battle will end with Mace Windu impaling Shao Kahn on his saber (with Shao Kahn yelling "You suck!" as he falls to his knees), then Mace will run off into the battle as the match comes to a close.

Venice- Assassin's Creed, inFAMOUS

Theme for first phase- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EaRHlo4B0Y
Theme for second phase- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E424Rtrccvw (I know they used that with Alden's Tower, but couldn't find anything more fitting since I already used Dinner with Sasha on my Sasha moveset)

The battle takes place on a canal, with two streets on each side, and wooden docks hanging off each side and boats bridging the two streets and docks. There are different overhangs that can be used as platforms on the sides and on the boats (the boats are also a tad higher than the docks with stars leading up on to them). Each street has a wall on their respective sides. Civilians will be standing on the streets and on boats further down the canal in the background watching the fight, as well as assassin's free running between the streets or standing on roof tops observing the battle.

About a minute in (assuming it's a three minute match) the Animus will begin glitching (with the mist and lines appearing. Certain details of the city will be seen being altered or will simply vanish.), then smoke will begin appearing around the city and screams can be heard as towns people can be seen running around panicking and the assassin's will vanish, running off towards the different smoking areas.

At a minute and thirty seconds in, the song will change and a barge (or fishing boat, modern day style) will come speeding into the canal, and a rocket will be fired off destroying the boats in the center and causing them to sink as it pulls in and takes their place. Reapers will swarm off the boat, taking to the streets or observing the fighters from the boat, every now and then firing a rocket at them that make them lose AP (is quite obvious when they're about to). Several groups of Reapers will also be dumping black tar into the water of the canal, these can be hit a few times (or with a strong attack )and be killed to stop them and release AP orbs that the players can grab.

Assassins will also take to the streets and the boat, battling the reapers with swords, assassinations, crossbows, and hidden guns. By the end of the match the assassins will have wiped the Reapers completely out and go back to observing the fight as well as a few attempting to figure out a way to get the black tar out of the canal.

Chronoplast- Soul Reaver, Timesplitters

Theme for phase 1- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJIGohhp4A0
Theme for phase 2- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMk1fcWNzKk&list=PLE7EA24D31DF37A98

(picture of the Chronoplast- http://legacyofkain.wikia.com/wiki/File:SR2-BonusMaterial-EnvironmentArt-Chronoplast-13.png)

The stage takes place in the Chronoplast from Soul Reaver, with a decently sized flat area, with two rises that are like stairs on each side. On the ceiling is a large claw like chandelier object. In the background there are stairs that lead directly up to the frame of a portal.

About forty seconds into the fight (assuming it's a three minute match) the portal will open making the claw like chandelier spin and have electricity arc around it, making it electrocute players before knocking them away if they're hit into it, causing them to lose AP.

About a minute and twenty seconds in, Moebius will step out of the portal with several mercenaries and walk down the steps ordering his men to "purge them all!". His men will walk down the stairs in ready stances (being cautious of the fighters). Suddenly Splitter Crow (http://timesplitters.wikia.com/wiki/Splitter_Crow) will burst through the portal, laughing manically. He will fire on the mercenaries, sending them flying while several Scourge Splitters walk through the portal. Moebius is angered by Splitter Crow, but being a coward he manages to flee past Crow into the portal, barely dodging his gun fire.

Splitter Crow then steps directly into the background of the fighters, making comments and laughing throughout the fight. The Scourge Splitters will wander around the stage observing the fight. If the hazards are on throughout the battle Splitter Crow will fire at different parts of the stage (made obvious by glowing markers where he's going to.) If a player is hit, they are sent flying and lose AP.

At the final twenty seconds a massive tentacle (presumably belonging to the Elder God) will suddenly burst through the portal and wrap around Crow, then drag him through as he panics. The Scourge Splitters will quickly take pursuit to try and save their master.

Tsunopolis- War of the Monsters, inFAMOUS.

Theme for the first phase- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDGcwPw6Ew4 (Only song I could find >.>)
Theme for the second phase- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=siaYZ7hCt7Q

The stage takes place atop a set of three buildings, with a main plaza of the city in the background, as well as a view of the ocean. The set up is similar to that of Paris, however with a raised building on the left as well as the right, though slightly higher, with a sign just in the background's catwalk acting as a platform above the center building, bridging the two raised buildings.

During the fight the following monsters are seen fighting in the background- Togera, Ultra-V, Congar, and Preytor. Throughout the battle they also act as hazards, causing stray cars, antennae, or wreckage to plummet towards the stage. Every now and then one of the monsters themselves will be a hazard, being slammed onto one of the three buildings, also destroying the sign (though the catwalk survives).

Eventually a stray tossed weapon will be flung out and hit the U.F.O. floating over the bay, causing the alien crew to retaliate by creating a tsunami. The tsunami will begin rushing towards the stage, and just as it's about to hit a large red light will appear in it's path just in the background of the stage, stopping the water in it's tracks also triggering the song mash up. The Beast will appear in an explosion of light, causing the water to surge back to the ocean.

He presents a few new hazards with his powers. Every now and then he will do his black hole attack while fighting against the four monsters, causing certain objects around the stage to rise and be new platforms to battle on, or the players themselves (not fond of the idea since people don't like when that happens in Time Station.)
Another hazard presented will be his fireballs being added to the mix of stray weaponry.

Near the end of the battle The Beast is forced to move to another part of the city while flinging one of the enemy monsters through a building. From there the monsters and the Beast no longer present a hazard, which should be about 10-20 seconds before the end (assuming it's a 3 minute match.)
