You should care about k/d in TDM, since that's the objective. If you want to run around and go 2-20 do it in FFA so you don't ruin a team of people who are trying to win.

I bet that playing for a high KDR has NEVER made someone a happier person.

SPM is more important in TDM than K/DR. SPM takes into account things that you've done to assist the team.

You can't look at the one stat on its own and say that it's the single most important thing.

I've seen guys at the top of the Lobby Leader Board and checked their stats and they have a 350 SPM, but only a .85 KD and .57 W/L Ratio.

I've seen guys with a 5 KD and a .3 W/L (Camper probably)

My cousin sucks at the game and has a .67 KDR but a high W/L because he plays with me and other friends in a 6 man party.
There is no pleasure in life. There is only a relief of pain. We have to suffer to be on top.

Makes me worry for the vast majority of the 10-year olds that play this game.
If K/D is the only thing they have to be proud of... For shame.

Or the people who actually don't care and want to have fun? Let's face it, any decent gamer can do well with an automatic weapon. Nobody should boost about doing well with an smg, cause smgs make the game too easy :/

you're absolutely right TC ...

those who have a below average KDR does not care about it simply because as you said ... they do not care about it ...

KDR is an objective and not the game itself ...

some of us play the game to have fun ... which in your definition seems to be a collection of games where the end result is a digit with a decimal point on its right and a couple of digits to its right ...

Nah. I'm used to playing games that actually require teamwork and a lot more thought than this game, like Team Fortress 2 and League of Legends. In LoL especially it matters how much you die because that means the enemy is stronger but... it's more about what you do for the team that matters. That's probably my biggest gripe with this series, that no matter what mode you're playing it's more about being that one-man-army than a team player.
