JDawg888Posted 1/30/2013 11:30:06 PM | This wouldn't be much of a problem if they didn't implement lag compensation.
This is a problem for me because my internet occasionally drops for no reason so I wonder if it will ban me. --- PSN Name:Hjonez777 Do you fear death? |
supanova78Posted 1/31/2013 12:50:37 AM | all the people here complaining of rage quitters, nerds quitting, suggesting you suck if you dont take it til the end.. you must be playing in parties because you clearly arent resulting in poor matchmaking.
The other day I was playing a game of hardpoint and my ENTIRE team quit. It was multi team so it was less enemies but I was still One against two teams of 3 each both teams clan parties. Of course after a series of deaths and it not being possible for me to capture or hold a hardpoint. Why would anyone stay in that game? Maybe you could do alright if the teams are randoms but me against two teams of which they all work together. And I dont rage quit, in a ridiculous situation like that i'll just quit because its no fun to play.
"rage quitting" is a result of the game screwing people over. you cant blame people for quitting. if you watch a bad movie, you turn it off. if you eat bad food you will stop eating. if you are playing a poorly made video game... you will quit. --- Currently Playing - PC - Monkey Island 1, PS3 - DMC4, X360 -NG2, PS2 - Dynamite Deka, WII - Mario Kart, NDS - FF Tactics A2, PSP - Tekken DR, Arcade - MSHVSSF. |
MindkillerNLPosted 1/31/2013 1:01:32 AM | Leaving the match is not necessarily ragequitting. Ever stop and think about that? I sometimes quit a match because: - a friend logged in and we want to party up - terrible lag (up to the infamous 'connection interrupted' message popping op sometimes) - when playing solo and being put on the losing team in a match with no chance of winning - my phone is ringing and I like to answer it - the game freezes and I have to reboot my PS3
So... all of the above is not because of ragequitting. I do sometimes ragequit, and for that I agree I should be punished. And with me everybody who does, because host migration really does suck. But all the above happens more often then me ragequitting, so why punish me for that? --- ~ It is my job as a human being to let my ignorance take control ~ |
sgr8Posted 1/31/2013 1:14:26 AM | so if you just quit a game normally, you will get the probation?
i think thats good. i mean i do quit games too but in essence, this is the reason for host migrations. |
Zed7777ZR1Posted 1/31/2013 1:21:07 AM | i thought the probation applied to league play only ...? |
Spetsnaz420Posted 1/31/2013 1:59:27 AM | Zed7777ZR1 posted...i thought the probation applied to league play only ...? If that's the case it's just another reason for the try hards to avoid league play...it's harder to get good stats matched against people of equal skill and get punished for rage quitting --- A tiger doesn't lose sleep to the opinions of sheep PSN: Spetsnaz420 |
xMessiahbolicalPosted 1/31/2013 2:29:17 AM | I'm trying to get 30-0 in Free For All without killstreak kills and they expect me not to quit out of games? If I die once, I HAVE to quit and find another lobby to start over or I would spend ages trying to get this damn title. I don't even like Free For All.
If they don't want people to leave matches, then they shouldn't make challenges so hard that you can't die 1 single time or you can't complete them. And more importantly, they should improve the damn lag. Don't punish people for leaving because they don't want to put up with your s****y net-code and awful matchmaking. --- PSN - xwageslavex |
Watcher78Posted 1/31/2013 2:45:54 AM | Everyone is moaning but can anyone actually say for certain that legitimate game exits like crashing etc.. lead to a ban? I would hope (without confidence) that they had software that can tell the difference. I've experienced a good few issues myself without a ban so at the least it seems that the system has its faults. --- --- I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives. |
Zed7777ZR1Posted 1/31/2013 3:24:35 AM | well if probation is done the same way they record stats ... then dashboarding wouldn't get you a ban ... sily bnecause dashboarding helps you maintain your stats ...
more and more it seems treyarch is encouraging childish behavior towards playing the game rather than casual playing ...
i like to play in a lobby where i feel like im having fun ... not feeding kills to the enemy and giving them scorestreaks ...
if the probation applies to public games as well ... then maybe its about time to just find another good game to kill these 2 hours with ... |
pieandmashPosted 1/31/2013 3:30:47 AM | Its not a bad idea in itself but the lag is so horrendous I'll still quit.
I'm not a great player so losing is nothing new, but if my character is running like he is stuck in quick sand and other players are teleporting around or killing me in one shot I'll quit. I don't see the point in playing when I'm not enjoying it. --- Why was Captain Kirks wife brown? Because Bill Shatner |
