Black Ops 2 supposedly uses an improved version of the IW engine.

Improved version of what version of the IW engine? For all we know, the version they 're using is still the improved version of Cod4. They better step it up, and at least use MW2's engine.

As long as they increase health and decrease damage (compared to mw3) it'll be ok

I wouldn't mind, but still, you should be able to kill at least 3 people with one mag. if you can't, then the health increase is too much.

In all likelihood, it's either the MW2 engine or the Blops engine. MW3 would likely have only been half finished when work on Black Ops 2 started.

That feel when an average player is totally okay with your enemy being a couple hundred milliseconds ahead of you because he's average.

I cannot believe you guys are falling for this game

Yeah, MW2 ran so smooth for me. I very rarely lagged. I don't understand how they messed it up.

And what's wrong with it? It's doing a setting entirely new to CoD. Yeah the graphics are pretty much crap but so far all we know is the setting and what it looks like.

A bit too early to judge on whether or not we're falling for something.

Did OP just imply the engines are different between IW and Treyarches games?

dohoho

Treyarch has never used the new CoD engine (ie. the MW2 & MW3 one). Both WaW and BO used a modified CoD4 engine.

then why do I feel like Cod4's engine/netcoding or whatever were still better then both black ops/waw?

One can only hope. The tweaks IW and Sledge made for MW3 resulted in atrocity even by P2P standards.
