The game could be such a great tool to meet a lot of hot local women, if the game was more appealing to the females of you.

Millions of people buy the game every year because $65 is actually pocket change for some people and they'd much rather have the most recent iteration to play with their friends. It's a fad. And, whether you agree or disagree, CoD has the potential to give out at least 100-200 hours of gameplay due to the multiplayer.

Very high entertainment per dollar value, very fast endorphin driven gameplay.
People like to play fun games AND be rewarded for doing so.
By the time a year ends, the toys players had fun with for a year lose their luster and the new game helps refresh their interest. Enough to be familiar and reliable for entertainment, enough to keep things interesting.

Good point. But if we dont demand from Activision that they work harder you will see the franchise go down. See guys like in these forums they go nowhere in life. With just a little pressure from their parents they could be rich like me.
