Why the hell is there MLG or any competitive play at all for this game?

I agree with the TC. I mean it is true.....

But is this really a necessary topic?
It's clearly only going to end up with more arguing.

Haha what? Starcraft has such a high skill gap that you wouldn't even be able to come close to beating a pro player, ever, unless you practiced for HOURS a day. You seriously half to have like no life to be a pro SC player, so they know what's up when talking about competitive games.

At least in COD you would be able to kill the pro player several times

SC players are in a COMPLETELY different genre of games to FPS. That's the equivalent of me saying "My friend who is a skilled boggle player says COD is more skillful than Halo".

Please learn some perspective.

It's like you've never played competitive Where's Waldo. Imagine that, but with guns, and he moves, and tries to find you too...

It's so the fun players can keep having fun while the butthurts shuffle on over to their own playlist.

Not that the game isn't fun. It is pretty damn fun indeed.

But CoD was never really a serious competitive game. It can't be with the aim assist.

I hope you guys realize the professional gaming community thinks playing call of duty competitively is a complete joke except for the people that play it themselves. I've talked to professional starcraft players and they at least acknowledge that Halo with the right game settings is highly skill based, but they all told me that they think playing call of duty competitively is a joke.

I hope you realize that no one really cares.

Yeah, Call of Duty is sort of a joke competitively in gameplay skill. As you said, when you're at a competitive level, assume that whoever sees the other person first is going to win the fight. It's that easy to aim in these games, always has been.

Most of CoD competition comes from strategy. You don't necessarily have to be 100% precise to win in this game as long as you have a good gameplan.

If you're saying this "girl" didn't sit in a corner the entire game, never plays games, and went 22-3 then that is an absolute lie. There's no way she would even have the hand eye coordination to move and aim at the same time in only one match.
