Returning a scratched disk to Bestbuy

I was at the midnight release for Black ops 2 and purchased the game. My roomate decided to lay his bag down and tip over my 360 while call of duty was playing. caused the disk to get moderately scratched and I just want a fresh copy due to the fact that i got the disk unreadable one time and it hasnt happened again, but I want to get it replaced asap to not even deal with the hassle.


Whats the safest approach to getting it exchanged with no issues?

Physical damage isn't covered...

Just say it was like that when you bought it those faceless corporation can't do anything about it but give you a new copy. If they press you just insist it was like that when you got it. Super easy.

So should I even mention that its scratched? should I just get store credit and go to another Bestbuy?
