Hey guys,

I finally put together a review of Call of Duty: Black Ops II (Activision got the game to me really late).

I think it's a solid game and I don't know what I expected, but to me, it just seems like more of the same (I know most of you won't agree with me).

Anyway, check it out and let me know what you think. Keep in mind that I write for a very general audience so I can't really delve into a lot of the game's deeper features.

I bet most of us just don't want to agree with you, but will because we know it's true to an extent.

If you want something different.... play a different game. It's a series they're are supposed to be the same. What is wrong with people?

'shaken up the formula ever so slightly'? that does not make sense. Shaking up implies changing something significantly. Learn metaphors before you use them.

That's not even a metaphor...

They did alter the series with Black Ops II, just not enough. That's the message I was trying to convey.

Here's my review of your review: "Their plot lines don’t really make much sense." The Treyarch ones actually do, modern warfare one's don't.

I know you thought this was funny, but it sounds like this was a new thing in this game: "However, it’s strange that the starting pistol takes so many bullets to take out zombies (shouldn’t one shot to the head do the trick?)."

You do realise it has different endings and an actually realstic (somewhat) plot?: "Surprisingly, unlike past Call of Duty titles, Black Ops II features a relatively simple plot. It follows two connected story lines, one set in the 1970s and 1980s and the other in 2025."

Point noted here, but, you may one to take the above out because it is kinda contradictory^: "Depending on decisions you make over the course of the game, you’ll receive a different ending to the game’s campaign mode."

This is actually correct, good job: "Black Ops II also features a somewhat out-of-place real-time strategy portion called Strike Force."

You contradict yourself again you state this: "Treyarch has done very little to shake up Call of Duty’s multiplayer formula and, really, they don’t need to." And then State this: "Black Ops II’s multiplayer loadout feature has been altered and simplified in the new pick 10 class loads system."

^It actually does affect the game a lot, along with the score streak system, gun-on-gun play is more relevant than ever, and a bigger focus on the objective in objective game modes.

I'd give you a 6/10

Who really cares for CoD's campaign? Now if someone reviewed ME3 solely off of the multiplayer then there would be cause for concern.

I was debating with some guy on IGN over this. He stated that COD hasn't changed blah blah blah. He stated that battlefield and halo have innovated with every series. I replied by asking him to explain what they have done, because they haven't changed much like the COD series. His explanation on battlefield's and halo's innovation was laughable. He said that battlefield:

Added new weapons and gadgets (so did COD)
Added prone to crouch (really that's innovative? COD had that since forever)
Medics can choose their class (in COD, you make your own class)
Vehicles (pardon me, but hasn't battlefield had vehicles since the series started? How is that different?)

Halo added:
Spartan ops (you mean spec ops, what mw 2 had? COD added zombies then added transit)
Halo added abilities. (Yeah they are called perks)
Halo added armor customizing (black ops also added customization)
Halo added theater (blops had theater and blops 2 has even better one)
Halo added sprinting (you mean that thing that COD has been having?)

Ireplied, "like I said, tell me something COD hasn't done. Everything you listed is exactly what you are criticizing COD for doing." He said that spec ops doesn't count because it is multiplayer, and Spartan ops does because it is not. The logic of these people.
