It matches you by SPM. i.e. if you're like me and have a 250+ (above average) you end up exclusively playing fellow tryhards every game.

I assume by that same token, corner campers who get 50-100 SPM play fellow corner campers? I'd like to see how that's like.

People are already purposefully killing their stats just to play against lower skilled players, the SBMM is a joke because people that are good at CoD games that just got the game are coming in killing people easily because most people prestiged because of the double xp weekend. Rank means nothing in this game...

General consensus says it seems that way.

Take a look at lobby leaderboards or individual combat records in the next pub lobby you wind up in. My SPM is 250-260ish, and the absolute lowest I've seen in the past week was 210.
