You may or may not have been outplayed. Spawnkilling is big element of Call of Duty at its highest competitive level.

To OP:
There's so much BS and so many problems with lag in this game that dying does not necessarily mean you got outplayed. This is easy to recognize even for average to lesser players. That's one major reason why this game can be so infuriating.

Also, you have to realize that in certain situations and certain game modes, it can actually be beneficial to die.
