Why not just quit the game regularly why do you have to dashboard?

^^This, only reason to dashboard is to save your precious stats that you obviously care to much about....it's a game. If you are lagging that bad you would know early on in the match and could quit right away no harm. Problem is you got the guys who play 1/2 - 3/4 of the match notice their score sucks and start crying and chose to dashboard then instead of leaving along time ago quitting normally.

If I dashboard then the host migrates and the game continues, if I dashboard and im host, game over. Thats why.

Why would you care if it continues?

If the game continues then my protest meant nothing, host migrated, and 5 seconds later game continues. If this starts happening a lot, as stated in a previous post people will get angry and 3arch will be forced to do something about it. Of course knowing them, they will fix the dashboarding so it migrates instead of actually fixing their netcode.

Your "protest" means nothing regardless of what you're doing. It's about as dumb as those guys trying to get people to not play MW3 on 4/20 this year.

F'd if I care, sometimes just standing up for the right cause is enough, even if it doesn't change anything. If there is even the smallest chance that it will help get something changed then its worth it, if it doesn't after a month or two ill trade the blood thing in and that will be as they say "that"

I fail to see how dashboarding gets anything accomplished. Without lag compensation, this game wouldn't be playable. The biggest problem is the lack of dedicated servers. The game has to handle up to 18 different connections with a ping respective to each connection. That's up to 153 connections. I don't pretend to understand how this works, but I imagine the coding to handle all those communications must be a nightmare.

OK everyone, please stop with the Dedicated Servers stuff because that's not gonna fix the problem. You are still gonna have lag. Go play some EA games, and you'll see what I'm talking about. Heck I get major lag playing 1vs1 in NHL. (and that's just 2 freakin people in the lobby!)

Sure DS would stop things like "Host migration" screens, but there would still be lag. Plus you know that Activision would copy EA's online Pass BS too. Then of course the community would have a new thing to *itch about. (like they don't do enough already)

Treyarch just need to work on the MM. Every COD game goes though that BS at launch, but it does get better as the season moves along... (Even MW2 had it's share of lag at launch)

Dedicated servers would help tremendously. For one, it would cut down the number of connections. In ground war, the server would be dealing with up to 18 connections instead of 153. The server would be dealing with 18 pings instead of 153.

Every single game played online will have some kind of lag. That is unavoidable. That's like saying you can move to a different city, but you will still have rush hour traffic. The solution is compensating for that lag. Having a dedicated server would make things considerably easier.

I still don't understand your cause. You claim this is "just a game" but you care enough to dashboard. If this was "just a game" you would be playing for fun and wouldn't care about such trifling details. Clearly this isn't "just a game" to you. You're involved in a pointless protest.

Haha saying that you're dashboarding for some noble cause, that's hilarious.
