Not that it's a bad thing, the setting of this game makes it seem more like MW4.

The MW series was always set in the near future, IIRC. This is only about 10 years or so removed from it.

I dunno. Wasn't the first Modern Warfare game set in 2012? I guess there's a relatively bigger gap though so Future Warfare would fit the bill a bit better.

I wish Black Ops stayed in the time period of Black Ops 1. Black Ops 2 really feels like an extension of Modern Warfare 3.

World at War felt less like Modern Warfare 1. In fact, I kind of wish we would get a World at War sequel.

Feels like Modern Warfare 3.5. I wanted Black Ops 2 to be...in the Black Ops era.
