Is this game competitive?

As in is the game balanced and fair? Is there a big difference between people who suck and people who don't? I am used to playing Halo/Gears, not really played much COD apart from at a friends house.

Also, if you think its competitive say why you think so.

with the lag/lag comp and spawns there isn't much skill/competition involved. it's kind of a cluster****.

Contrary to popular belief, the guns are incredibly balanced. We haven't seen gun balance like this in years. SMGs aren't nearly as powerful as people think. They have considerably less range than assault rifles, just like they should. The maps have several CQC areas, but I wouldn't say the maps cater to CQC. Your play style dictates whether or not you're involved in a lot of CQC.

I dunno man, I saw a vid of this guy using a gun that had a fast firing rate, a decent looking scope, and could kill in one body shot. I mean, what could be better than that?

If it wasn't for the connection issues it would certainly be the most competitive CoD game but as it stands no it's not, but it's still a lot of fun.
